About us
ABI Charity is a non-profit, non-commercial organisation that works to help people in need and contribute to positive change in society, both nationally and internationally.
The organisation was founded by Shaykh Tehsin Abo Barirah, an imam, teacher and community leader with long experience of teaching, counselling and work in Muslim communities in Norway, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Through many years of work in mosques, teaching and community projects, he has seen the need for an organisation that can offer practical help, support and charity to the people who need it most.
ABI Charity works on projects in humanitarian aid, education, social support and community work. The organisation is politically independent and bases its work on values such as compassion, responsibility and transparency.
The aim is to provide lasting help and create hope for people living in difficult circumstances.

How we work
The aid goes through set steps, from purchase to distribution to the families who need it.

Purchasing & packing
Emergency aid packs with flour, rice and other basic goods are bought and packed locally.

Transport
The packs are transported on to the villages and families who will receive them.

Distribution to families
The aid is handed out directly to the families, in cooperation with our local staff and partners.
